CCSVI, or chronic cerebrospinal venous insufficiency, is the narrowing of the veins leading from the brain and spine and is being investigated as a possible cause of multiple sclerosis (MS). There are thoughts that CCSVI is a congenital disorder or the reaction to an infection.
